Usage

To use the above Molecular Weight Calculator Applet, enter the chemical formula in the edit box and push on the Calculate button. The result will be displayed below the edit box. Use the following guidelines for entering the chemical formula:

• Molecular weight calculator is case sensitive. For example use CO for carbon monoxide and Co for cobalt.
• Do not enter any parenthesis. Expand it out first before specifying the formula

 

Note: The first time you use the applet, the result may take several seconds to appear. This is because the browser is compiling the code "on-the-fly". Subsequent calculations will be nearly instantaneous.
