ChemicaLogic Site Information

Like you, a lot of people are interested in finding out the contents of the "styles" folder. To satisfy your curiosity, we have decided to give you detailed information about this site and the design of our pages.

Styles

If you are like most users, you are probably connect to the internet through a low bandwidth 28.8K or 56K modem. To help speed up the download and display of our pages, we utilize a minimum of graphics. However, we extensively use Cascading Style Sheets to beautify our site. The common set of styles that we use on all of our pages is in chemicalogic.css. The styles that we use look best in Microsoft's Internet Explorer 4.x or later. Netscape's browser versions 4.x or later also support style sheets but their rendering of some of the elements is missing, which hopefully will be remedied in a future release.

ChemicaLogic is directly connected to the internet through a high-speed dedicated DSL connection provided by UUNET. Our site runs on a Pentium 133 computer running FreeBSD. The web server we use is Apache.
